Rahul Gandhi on Ordinance of Convicted Politicians

Rahul gandhi on ordinance said that it should be torn and thrown away.why he didn't react when the cabinet is preparing it and opposing now when president asks for clarification on why is the ordinance brought. Is UPA government trying to save it's Future and present allies. RJD  Bihar supporting  UPA from outside.Mr.Lalu prasad yadav who is facing probe against him on Fodder scam met Mrs.Sonia Gandhi after supreme verdict on convicted Netas.Similarly Samajwadi Party Head Mulayam singh Yadav is facing probe against Disproportinate assets. My view is Congress is trying to save it's netas and it's allies from the Supreme court verdict. Many of the Mp's(all parties) are having criminal cases pending for judgement against them if verdict is against them they may be in eligible to contest in elections for nearly six years i think.

Swamy writes to President on citizenship issue of Rahul

November 9, 2012.

Mr. Pranab Mukherjee,
President of India,
Rashtrapati Bhavan,
New Delhi.

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing this letter by way of providing as yet not formally confirmed information and hence not as yet evidence.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi, MP was born at a time when his mother Ms. Sonia Gandhi was an Italian citizen. {She became an Indian citizen vide Section 5 of the Indian Citizenship Act in 1983}.

According to Italian law at that time, any person born to an Italian citizen mother is deemed to be an Italian citizen unless a formal renunciation of Italian citizenship is made by the child upon becoming an adult. At the time of Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s birth, his mother had informed the Italian Embassy of the same which the Embassy then forwarded it to the Interior Ministry in Rome, Italy for recording in their Citizen’s Register.

Therefore, my information is that Mr. Gandhi’s name was entered under whatever name that was communicated by the Italian Embassy, in the Citizenship Register of Italy.

I have not been able to verify as yet whether upon becoming an adult, Mr. Gandhi formally renounced Italian citizenship or has continued as yet for some obscure reason, as a citizen of Italy.

Only a formal request from the Government of India can clarify this position. The former Prime Minister Mr. Narasimha Rao had in a casual conversation told me that he had been informed that Mr. Gandhi was still a citizen of Italy. But this is hearsay and not yet confirmed evidence.

In my view it will be fair and legally appropriate in your position as President of India and custodian of the Constitution that you make a formal request through our Government to the Government of Italy to provide a copy of the file relating not only to Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship but also of Ms. Sonia Gandhi and her daughter Priyanka so that this controversy regarding Ms Sonia Gandhi and her two children’s citizenship status in Italy, is set at rest.

Yours sincerely,
( SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY )

Dr.swamy janata party on Rahul Gandhi Citizenship.

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Monday criticised Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh for proposing that Rahul Gandhi take over as Prime Minister and said that legally Mr. Gandhi and his sister were barred from the post.
In a statement, Dr. Swamy dubbed Mr. Singh as the “mouthpiece of the Janpath coterie” and said the coterie had “lost all hope on Manmohan Singh performing in the coming months as the 2G spectrum scam unravels and the list of accused lengthens with additions from the Congress.”
He accused Mr. Digvijay Singh of treating the Prime Minister as “some kind of regent in the Maino dynasty, waiting for Rahul to grow up.”
Dr. Swamy, however, argued that there was a legal bar on Mr. Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister “arising from Italian law which made him a citizen upon birth. He has never renounced this inherited citizenship and that he has travelled on Italian passport all over Europe on an alias.”
Dr. Swamy said Mr. Gandhi should “learn from the experience of his mother whose attempt to become the Prime Minister in 2004 was aborted when the then President of India Abdul Kalam wrote a letter (which is still to be published) which was read by two witnesses present when Ms. Sonia Gandhi received that letter, namely Natwar Singh and Manmohan Singh. It should now be perfectly clear to Ms. Sonia Gandhi as well as her two children that there is no legal way by which any of them can ever become the Prime Minister of India.”

NEW DELHI, June 21, 2011 THE HINDU

I think Mr.Gandhi should honestly give the details,or central Govt. should rectify this doubt,As Dr.Swamy is not a person who just make False or senseless statements like Most of So called Leaders

Student unions

Every political party in India has a Student union like NSUI of congress,ABVP of BJP ,SFI&AISF of communists .All i noticed is only a few unions fight for the interests of students some of those r ABVP,SFI,AISF.All other work for the political interests of the respective parties.what do the political parties have to do with the student unions.Student union leaders are later the youth wing leaders of political parties. Many of the student union leaders are not in a mood to complte their respective UG or PG courses.A Student leader meaans he should be guidance to other students and  I bet 90% of them are not so.Now a days they are playing key roles in Settelments.A past Student who wants this tradition to change
